EASTERN AFRICA – Cyprian Kabbis, the District Chief Executive Office at Bureau Veritas, has been confirmed as one of the key speakers at the upcoming Africa Food Safety Summit.

Kabbis has over 29 years cross functional experience in Technical and Strategic Business Management within the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) Industry as well as Manufacturing Sectors.

He has previously held senior managerial roles with various multinational groups such as SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance), Bridgestone-Firestone, Bata Shoe Organization, among others.

He possesses a wealth of experience in people management across cultures and is a strong promoter for inclusivity as a critical element for sustainability pillars and success in business.

Through the years, he has gained skills in strategic implementation and management of new projects with a strong focus on operational excellence and organizations’ profitability.

Kabbis holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Kenyatta University and a Master of Business Administration in International Business from University of Nairobi.

Having worked with various stakeholders in the food industry, he is undeniably well placed to talk about the “Status of Food Safety Regulation & Practice in Kenya”, at the Summit scheduled to take place from July 20-22nd in Nairobi, Kenya.

The 2022 Africa Food Safety Summit in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB) is Africa’s premier and largest international food safety, quality management and conformity conference and exhibition.

The Summit brings together regional and global experts and stakeholders to share the latest trends in science and technology; regulations, standards and compliance; operations and sustainable adoption of food safety practices and technologies in the entire agriculture and food value chain in Africa.
