U.S – The California Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement (LGMA) has opted to integrate a cloud-based quality and compliance software, TraQtion, into its system so as to  modernize its audit and data management.

TraQtion which is a single, 360-degree supply chain assurance technology solution is powered by NSF, a leading public health and safety organization.

The platform will enhance LGMA’s existing audit management with solutions that boost productivity and promote confidentiality for the organization, whose members produce more than 70% of the nation’s lettuce and leafy greens.

LGMA members strive to offer consumers leafy greens that are safe by adhering to a set of food safety standards and undergoing mandatory government audits.

The organization will be able to handle audits using a web-based platform that is available via mobile devices thanks to TraQtion’s cloud-based technology.

Authorized stakeholders will have access to audit reviews, key noncompliance concerns, corrective measures, and the auditing process itself, as reported by Businesswire.

“Moving our audit database to TraQtion allows us to work with an industry leader in the realms of public health, audit process improvement, and audit data management. Modernizing our database will lead to a myriad of improvements including ease of maintenance, a more efficient audit process, and improved audit data analysis and reporting.

“These improvements will not only make our members’ lives better but through a more efficient audit process, and better data analysis, the industry will be able to focus our resources on the areas needing more attention,” said Greg Komar, California LGMA Technical Director.

Lesley Ma, Vice President, Chief Information and Continuous Improvement Officer at NSF commented that TraQtion is able to provide LGMA with innovative and multifunctional technology solutions for the entire leafy greens industry.

“We applaud LGMA for taking this step forward in leveling up their systems, which underscores their commitment to food safety and public health,” she said.

TraQtion, formerly known as Aspirago, was created by NSF to assist their customers in maintaining a better level of food safety and quality compliance. It is now accessible to any businesses seeking to make informed decisions based on current facts.

In 2019, Food Logistics shortlisted TraQtion to the ‘FL100+ Top Software and Technology Providers’ list for the fourth year in a row.
