NIGERIA – The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has awarded Forte Upstream Service Limited(FUSL) , a player in the oil and gas industry, ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification, reflecting the Organization’s vision to deliver quality service to clients at all times.

In his remarks, the Director-General of SON Mallam Farouk Salim, who was represented by the Director of Management Systems Certification (MSC) Engr Felix Nyado, congratulated (FUSL) on scaling through the stringent and competitive certification process, stating that the feat was commendable and worthy of emulation.

Salim reiterated that subscribing to ISO 9001: 2015 is a vital component of conformance to standards. It ensures that the services rendered to the nation are of the highest quality, especially in the face of prevailing economic challenges and competition in the market.

He further remarked the presentation of the certificate reflects the organization’s vision to deliver quality service to clients at all times, thereby providing them with a globally recognized, solution to address challenges associated with managing quality and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Implementing this standard is FUSL’s top management’s resolve in promoting international best practices in service delivery and in a quest to get it right within the industry in the country.

The company will be placed on an annual surveillance audit to ensure continuity, stability, and effectiveness. In case of any observed and corrected non -conformities, FUSL will retain their certificate but if not corrected, the certificate will be withdrawn.

The SON boss also leveraged the platform to advise the recipient to subscribe to other various International Organization for Standardization (ISO) programs on offer by SON saying that it is the sure way to the company’s resilience and growth.

In his response, the Managing Director of Forte Upstream Service Limited, Mr. Doyin Ogun expressed gratitude to all who worked tirelessly to make the certification process a success.

According to him, ISO Standard is central to enabling FUSL to meet its quality systems objectives with a continuous improvement of its service delivery by providing the foundation for better customer satisfaction, staff motivation, improved financial returns and an enhanced image of the organization locally and internationally.

Mr. Ogun added that the ISO certificate received will act as a differentiator and also urged other stakeholders to key into the ISO Standards, to enjoy the benefits that the certification offers in improving the products and services in the industry.

FUSL has purposed to key into the ISO 22301: 2019 Security and Resilience Business Continuity Management System as soon as possible.

The ISO 22301 business continuity management standard, crucially helps organizations identify and prioritize threats. It allows them to implement their business continuity management system effectively so they are ready to respond to and recover from incidents with the least disruption to business.
