Neogen introduces new EndPoint assays for natural toxin detection

U.S – Neogen Corporation has recently launched two innovative assays for the detection of natural toxins: Reveal Q+ for DON EndPoint and Reveal Q+ for Aflatoxin EndPoint, enhancing the company’s capabilities in detecting natural toxins.

Designed to offer accurate results in a matter of minutes, the Reveal Q+ EndPoint assays are quantitative lateral flow tests that are user-friendly and efficient.

These assays are specifically intended for use on Neogen‘s Raptor Solo Platform, catering to situations where increased workflow output is required.

They enable faster decision-making and efficient workflow management for industries involved in food production and quality control.

“The new EndPoint assays take our trusted Reveal Q+ assays to the next level, providing users with an efficient way to test large sample volumes for the presence of natural toxins.

“As we continually look for ways to make workflows simpler for our customers, we are pleased to offer this new solution to help make the testing process easier, while delivering accurate results,” Neogen’s President and CEO, John Adent, emphasized the significance of the new EndPoint assays.

By obtaining the FGIS Certificates of Compliance, Neogen’s assays demonstrate compliance with stringent standards set by the Federal Grain Inspection Service. This certification ensures their reliability and suitability for official inspections, reinforcing trust and confidence in the accuracy of the results provided by these assays.

Reveal Q+ for DON EndPoint (PN: 8375) detects deoxynivalenol (DON), a toxin produced by fungi residing on grain products.

It provides precise results ranging from 0.3-30 parts-per-million (ppm) within three minutes. It is FGIS 2021-154 certified for testing corn and wheat.

Meanwhile, the Reveal Q+ for Aflatoxin EndPoint (PN: 8075) detects aflatoxin, a toxic and carcinogenic substance produced by certain strains of mold, primarily in corn.

It offers accurate results within six minutes, covering a range of 4-100 parts per billion (ppb). It is FGIS 2022-168 certified for testing corn.

With an extensive range of food safety diagnostic test products, Neogen provides comprehensive solutions for foodborne bacteria, mycotoxins, food allergens, and other safety concerns. Their line of mycotoxin test kits includes detection for aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol (DON), fumonisin, ochratoxin, T-2/HT-2, and zearalenone.

The launch of the EndPoint assays is a testament to their ongoing efforts to enhance testing processes and deliver precise and efficient solutions.

It also reinforces its position as a leading provider of food safety solutions and furthers its mission to protect the food supply chain and ensure consumer safety.
