USA – Novolyze, a leader in cloud-based food safety and quality digitalization, has announced the launch of its latest innovation, the Novolyze Analytics module.

This new tool is designed to augment Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) by offering predictive modeling capabilities that integrate seamlessly with the company’s existing Environmental Monitoring (EM) and Sanitation Complete (SC) modules.

The Novolyze Analytics module leverages cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced statistical techniques to analyze historical data, providing food safety professionals with predictive insights to forecast potential non-conformity issues.

This predictive analysis empowers users to take proactive measures, such as targeted cleaning and sampling, thereby reducing the risk of foodborne outbreaks and costly product recalls.

Predictive analysis for proactive risk mitigation

The module integrates data from multiple sources, including Novolyze’s EM and SC modules, and can further enhance predictability by incorporating data from the Nform (quality management forms) module or Process Control module.

This integration allows Novolyze Analytics to deliver a comprehensive risk assessment, enabling users to identify potential risks by building zones and providing actionable insights.

Key features of the Novolyze Analytics module include Predictive Analysis where historical data is used to calculate the probability of risk occurrences, enabling proactive risk management. Users can access detailed predictive reports for specific zones, facilitating informed decision-making for sampling and cleaning schedules.

The module also offers enhanced control to determine necessary adjustments or reinforcements to optimize EMP and sanitation protocols.

Addressing the costly consequences of food recalls

Food recalls are a major concern in the industry, with significant implications for consumer health, financial stability, and brand reputation.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that foodborne illnesses lead to approximately 48 million cases, 128,000 hospitalizations, and 3,000 deaths annually in the United States.

Financially, a single recall can cost a company an average of US$10 million in direct costs, not including the long-term damage to brand reputation and lost sales.

Novolyze Analytics aims to mitigate these risks by enabling companies to address potential environmental issues before they escalate into full-blown recalls. The module’s predictive capabilities are particularly valuable given that environmental factors account for 43% of food recalls, excluding labeling issues.

Karim-Franck Khinouche, CEO and founder of Novolyze, described the launch of the Analytics module as a notable advancement in food safety software capabilities.

“This module empowers our clients with the foresight to anticipate and address potential food safety risks, ensuring higher standards of quality and safety in their operations,” Khinouche stated.

The Novolyze Analytics module is now available to sites using the Novolyze EM and SC modules.
