U.S – Pamela Wilger, a distinguished Fellow Scientist – Microbiologist with Post Consumer Brands, Post Holdings, has been elected as Secretary of the Executive Board for the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP).

With an impressive background in microbiology, quality assurance, and food safety, Wilger brings a wealth of experience to her new role.

At Post Consumer Brands, she serves as the Technical Leader and Resource for Microbiology, Quality, and Food Safety, overseeing a wide range of critical functions across manufacturing facilities, laboratories, supply chains, and regulatory compliance.

Wilger’s dedication to industry advancement is evident through her extensive involvement with IAFP since 2001.

Her contributions as a volunteer, speaker, organizer, and committee member have been instrumental in shaping the association’s initiatives and fostering collaboration within the food protection community.

Recognizing the importance of mentorship and professional development, Wilger has actively engaged in programs aimed at nurturing future leaders in food safety. Her roles in the Mentor Program and leadership of professional development groups highlight her commitment to supporting the next generation of industry professionals.

Wilger’s academic journey, culminating in a B.S. and M.S. in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, has provided her with a strong foundation in scientific research and food microbiology. Her early work at the Food Research Institute further enriched her knowledge and practical experience in the field.
