Scientists invent biodegradable food packaging material that extends product’s shelf life

SINGAPORE/U.S – Scientists have developed a ‘smart’ food packaging material that is biodegradable, sustainable and kills microbes that are harmful to humans thus extending the shelf-life of products by two to three days. SAC to develop new accreditation to certify production of pesticide-free vegetables

SINGAPORE – The Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC), is developing a new accreditation programme to certify farms in Singapore that meet the national guidelines of producing pesticide-free and sustainably-grown vegetables.
