European Commission launches EU protocols for food businesses

EUROPE – The European Commission, alongside industry stakeholders has officially launched the EU Code of Conduct on Responsible Food Business and Marketing Practices under the Commission’s Farm to Fork Strategy. On 26 January 2021, the Commission facilitated discussions amongst a wide variety of stakeholders in the food sector to design an EU Code of Conduct on responsible business and marketing practices as one of the first initiatives to be delivered under the Farm to Fork Strategy. FAO, WHO call for action to address Food safety in context of sustainable food systems

WORLD- Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO) came together to commemorate the world food safety day and advocated for need of sustainable food systems and actions, aimed to address food safety issues in the human-animal -environment interface to assure “safe food now for a healthy tomorrow”.
