ISRAEL – Seed testing expert Microlab has joined the Tentamus group, crowning it the newest member of the global network of laboratories.

Microlab reinforces Tentamus Group’s global offer of services in plant, wine, vegetable and cosmetic testing while adding additional competences in seed testing.

Abgar Barseyten, CEO Tentamus Group noted that the partnership was an exceptional opportunity to strengthen their network, expand their existing presence in Israel and also add to their service offering in the global market.

“Tentamus is fully committed to continue expanding in Israel, building upon the 3 key labs currently operated in the food, pharma & medical, agrosciences and cosmetic industry.

“Microlab will become our pillar for seed testing, representing our active development in the market with several expansion opportunities that have already been realized including the acquisition of EpiLogic and Conidia Coniphy as well as further projects to be finalized by year-end,” he said.

Microlab specializes in the testing of agricultural and cosmetic products with a special focus on seed testing. Established in 1999, it has developed bespoken methods to investigate and analyse the aforementioned products.

The Israel based company highlights that it strives for strong innovation with the view to using biotechnological approaches to deliver fast, precise, and reliable molecular and microbiological evaluations.

“It was our goal to find a strategic and international partner that understands our business and continues its legacy together with us. Joining the Tentamus Group represents an important milestone for us and for our clients.

“Furthermore, the network of the Tentamus Group opens up new opportunities to leverage our knowledge and know-how. We are delighted and excited about the journey ahead,” remarked Microlab’s CEO Isaac Assouline.

As a technology leader in the life sciences industry, Tentamus offers a global network of highly specialized laboratories, all of which are equipped to ensure the quality and safety of the tested goods.

The combination of strong organic growth and a very focused mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy has enabled Tentamus to grow rapidly over the last 5 years.

Microlab’s acquisition marks its second acquisition since the beginning of the year. In April, it acquired oenological analysis specialist, Dolmar Laboratory.

Dolmar currently has the widest scope of accreditation in the field of oenological analysis in Spain. It offers a wide range of accredited analytical services and technical advice to more than 2,000 wineries and other companies involved in the production of vinegars and other alcoholic beverages.

With over 90 laboratories in 21 countries, the Tentamus group is striving to become the best-known global laboratory service provider while still supporting its customers locally.
