ZAMBIA – Two Six Zero Brands Africa, a consumer goods manufacturer based in Zambia, has recently been certified against  ISO 22000, demonstrating that they have complied with all relevant international food safety requirements.

“We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products possible, and this certification is a testament to that commitment. We will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do to provide our consumers with the best possible experience.

“We thank you and appreciate your continued support as we work to deliver the finest products to the people of Africa,” the company expressed on their LinkedIn page.

With 42,937 locations accredited, ISO 22000 is the most widely used voluntary international standard for food safety in the food sector, as per the ISO Survey 2021.

The ISO 22000 set of standards are global voluntary consensus norms that adhere to the World Trade Organization’s (WTO’s) Principles for the Development of International Standards and Good Standardization Practices (GSP).

It outlines the specifications for developing a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) that drives continuous improvement of all processes with an impact on the safety of end-products. No matter how big or where it is in the food chain, any business can use it.

After 25 years, Two Six Zero Brands continues to lead the way in developing wholesome and reasonably priced maize and soya goods, such as textured soy as a meat substitute, powdered/instant drinks, corn soya blend (porridge), and snacks, where it is one of the top market leaders in Zambia.

The company’s NUTRAMILK recently bagged the Zambian Association of Manufacturers – November 2022 – ZAM Product of the Year award under the Large Enterprise Category.

The first plant-based milk product in the nation, NUTRAMILK is created from locally grown soybeans.

For a longer shelf life without refrigeration, it is aseptically packaged and processed using UHT technology.

The product serves as a healthy substitute for standard dairy products and is fortified with vitamins A, 12, D2, and calcium.

According to the company, NUTRAMILK is both preservatives and cholesterol free and suitable for lactose intolerant consumers.
